My own preoccupation with how visual storytelling manages to bring together diverse subject matter that is genuinely equipped to forge and structure “new” or “hidden” meaning (especially in relation to a single subject) continues to spark my interest in discovering new ways to transverse the intersection of text/language/image. There are times when I arrange or stage or juxtapose historically laden symbolic objects alongside or next to a single figure in order to create interesting contemporary tableaux.
